Minecraft Block Distribution

This visualization shows different Minecraft blocks' distribution (in the Overworld) across various Y-levels (depths) throughout different game versions. We aimed to improve upon this static visualization by adding more blocks besides ores and creating interactive visualizations. The center column displays a 3D representation of block frequency, while the right chart shows comparative ore distributions. Interactive features include:

• A searchable block list on the left
• Version selector to switch between Minecraft updates
• Scrollable height view with tooltips showing exact percentages
• Density chart with hoverable areas showing detailed chance of encountering a block
• Preset buttons to quickly view common block groups (e.g., all ore types)
